The CLAT is a national-level entrance exam for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate law programs at 22 National Law Universities (NLUs) in India. It is conducted by the Consortium of NLUs.

Eligibility Criteria

For UG CLAT

  • 10+2 or equivalent with at least:
    • 45% marks (General/OBC/PWD/NRI)
    • 40% marks (SC/ST)
  • No upper age limit
  • Appearing candidates in 12th board exams can also apply

For PG CLAT

  • LLB degree (3-year or 5-year integrated LLB) with at least:
    • 50% marks (General/OBC/PWD/NRI)
    • 45% marks (SC/ST)
  • No upper age limit
